Glow at Home- Egg White Mask

This is a mask that my mom taught me about when I was a little girl. It's great for toning and tightening and works great for normal, oily, dull, aging and acne prone skin.

It's simple inexpensive and everything you need is already in your kitchen!!

Take one egg and separate the yolk from the egg white.
You won't need the yolk so save it for something else, (one of my hair stylist friends told me of a great hair conditioner using the yolk.)

Always start with a freshly cleansed and toned face
Use a mask brush or your fingers to apply a thin layer of the egg whites to your face avoiding the eye area
Let it dry for 5 to 10 minutes..

You feel it tightening as it dries.

To remove rinse with warm water.

Follow up with toner and moisturizer

You can leave this mask on for as long as you like , even over night.

This mask gets really tight so you will have a frozen face while it's on.

Try it and tell me what you think!!! :-)

Here's some fun recipes to help get your skin glowing at home:

Lemon to Lighten Dark Spots

Here's a natural tip to lighten dark spots: Use Lemon juice fresh or store bought( I prefer freshly squeezed)
Lemon has anti bacterial and acidic properties. It can be used to exfoliate skin, its a fruit ( glycolic ) acid . And it also lightens dark spots. Try this quick inexpensive recipe:

Use the juice of 1/2 of a lemon, more or less depending upon the size of area you want to treat.
Take cotton swab or Q-Tip and apply the lemon juice to freshly cleansed skin.
Let it dry and rinse with warm water. Do this twice a day for 6-8 weeks.

Keep in mind that fading dark spots is a Gradual process. THE MOST important step in lightening any hyper pigmentation is the use of sunscreen. Even if you manage to completely lighten your dark spots,a FEW minutes of un- protected sun exposure will quickly re- pigment that area and all your weeks of hard work will have gone to waste.
Have a Beauty- Full Day!! ;-)
